Enlarged Pores
Pores cannot be closed — they are openings, not a defect. What can change is how much they hold, how deep the shadow reads, and how firm the skin around them is.

Self-check
Is it your pores?
Tick what sounds like you. Nothing is stored, and it is not a diagnosis — it just makes the consult faster.
Often mistaken for
Acne scarring
Pitted or rolling depressions from old breakouts need collagen-building, not extraction.
Sebaceous filaments
The greyish dots on the nose are normal structures, not clogs. They refill within days, always.
Dehydrated skin
A depleted barrier over-produces oil, which reads as bigger pores. Fixing the routine sometimes fixes the concern.
Nobody gets poreless skin, including the people in the photographs. What we can honestly offer is finer texture and less shadow.
Why it happens
Oil output, keratin plugs and the collagen holding the wall open
A pore looks bigger when it is producing more oil, when a keratin plug stretches the opening, and when the collagen around it has thinned so the wall no longer holds shape. Genetics set the baseline; sun damage and time do the rest.
So the useful plan works on all three: keep the pore clear, control the oil, and build collagen in the surrounding skin so it grips. Squeezing and scrubbing achieve the opposite — they stretch and inflame.
1
Regular professional extraction rather than at-home squeezing.
2
A retinoid to normalise turnover and oil output.
3
Collagen-building treatment so the pore wall holds its shape.
What treats it
What makes pores read smaller
Prices are starting points. Which of these you need — and in what order — is decided at the consult, in writing.

Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I came in convinced I needed a laser and left with a prescription cream and a sunscreen lecture. Six months later the patches on my cheeks are the faintest they have been in a decade. They could have sold me three of everything.

Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Nagwa showed me photographs of clients with my skin tone rather than the brochure ones, and she talked me out of the more expensive option. Two peels in, my makeup sits properly for the first time since my twenties.

The spots on my chest had bothered me for fifteen years. Three sessions, honest warnings about the flaking week, and they are gone. Booking the face and chest together was the right call.
Questions
The things people ask us
If yours is not here, ask it at the consult — or email it and Nagwa answers within a business day.
Can pores be closed permanently?
No, and any clinic promising it is overselling. Pores are openings your skin needs. Treatment makes them smaller and cleaner, which is what people actually mean when they say they want them gone.
Do pore strips or extraction tools help?
Briefly, and at a cost. Both stretch the opening, and home tools bruise and inflame. Monthly professional extraction achieves the same clean-out without stretching the wall.
What if I also have acne?
Then we calm the acne first — our acne programme, then texture work once the skin is stable. Resurfacing active breakouts leaves marks that take longer to fix than the pores did.
What does the free consultation actually include?
Twenty minutes with Nagwa: a proper look under clinic light and magnification, your history and any medications, same-light photographs for your file, and a written plan with prices and an order of operations. No deposit, and no obligation to book anything on the day.
Can I spread the cost?
Yes — courses can be split into monthly payments through Cherry, with plans starting around $45 a month depending on the total. We will show you the monthly figure next to the total before you decide anything.
Finer texture is achievable. Poreless is not.
Come in and we will look at your skin under magnification, tell you which part is oil and which part is collagen, and price the plan for each.
