Age Spots
The receipt for years of accumulated sun: discrete flat spots where the light landed hardest. Of everything on this list, these clear the fastest — usually two or three sessions.

Self-check
Is it actually an age spot?
Tick what sounds like you. Nothing is stored, and it is not a diagnosis — it just makes the consult faster.
Often mistaken for
Seborrheic keratosis
Raised, waxy and rough — light will not clear these; they need a different removal method.
Melasma
Soft-edged symmetrical patches rather than separate spots, and hormone-driven.
Anything changing
A spot that is growing, itching, bleeding or has an irregular border goes to a dermatologist first. We will say so.
We photograph and map every spot before treating, so anything that looks atypical gets referred rather than lasered.
Why it happens
Pigment banked from every sunny day you have had
Each unprotected exposure asks melanocytes to make a little more pigment. Most of it disperses; some clumps and stays. Twenty summers later that shows up as discrete flat spots in exactly the places that never get shade — cheekbones, temples, chest, hands.
Because the pigment is sitting shallow and in defined clusters, light-based treatment can target it precisely. The spot absorbs the energy, darkens like a coffee ground for a few days, then flakes away in the shower.
1
BBL or Moxi targets the clustered pigment without touching the skin around it.
2
Spots darken for three to seven days — that stage is the treatment working, not a reaction.
3
Daily SPF from then on, or the bank simply refills.

Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I came in convinced I needed a laser and left with a prescription cream and a sunscreen lecture. Six months later the patches on my cheeks are the faintest they have been in a decade. They could have sold me three of everything.

Nagwa showed me photographs of clients with my skin tone rather than the brochure ones, and she talked me out of the more expensive option. Two peels in, my makeup sits properly for the first time since my twenties.

The spots on my chest had bothered me for fifteen years. Three sessions, honest warnings about the flaking week, and they are gone. Booking the face and chest together was the right call.
Questions
The things people ask us
If yours is not here, ask it at the consult — or email it and Nagwa answers within a business day.
Do the spots come back?
The ones we treat are gone. New ones form only with new sun exposure, which is why the aftercare is a sunscreen habit rather than a product course. Most clients come back once every couple of years for a top-up on the chest and hands.
What does it feel like?
A rubber band snap per pulse, with a cold sapphire tip against the skin. No numbing needed for most faces. The hands are the tender part.
Can I treat them in summer?
We prefer not to. Tanned skin holds more pigment everywhere, which raises the risk of an uneven result, so we book pigment work from September through May.
What does the free consultation actually include?
Twenty minutes with Nagwa: a proper look under clinic light and magnification, your history and any medications, same-light photographs for your file, and a written plan with prices and an order of operations. No deposit, and no obligation to book anything on the day.
Can I spread the cost?
Yes — courses can be split into monthly payments through Cherry, with plans starting around $45 a month depending on the total. We will show you the monthly figure next to the total before you decide anything.
Two sessions is usually the whole story.
Bring the spots that bother you and we will map them, tell you honestly which will clear and which will not, and price the course in writing before you commit.
