Skin Laxity

The concern with the widest gap between marketing and reality. Real tightening from a non-surgical treatment is modest, gradual and cumulative — and worth doing, if you know that going in.

Self-check

Is this laxity?

Tick what sounds like you. Nothing is stored, and it is not a diagnosis — it just makes the consult faster.

Often mistaken for

Volume loss

Hollowing at the cheek and temple that reads as sagging. Filler addresses this; tightening does not.

Submental fat

A full under-chin is a fat pad, not loose skin — a different treatment entirely.

Fluid and posture

Morning puffiness and screen-neck creasing exaggerate laxity. We look at you at 2pm, not 8am.

If your laxity is past what energy-based treatment can move, we say so and name the surgical option. We would rather lose the booking than sell you four sessions that cannot work.

Why it happens

Less collagen, weaker elastin, and gravity with time on its side

From the mid-twenties you lose roughly a percent of dermal collagen a year, and the elastin that lets skin recoil degrades alongside it. Sun accelerates both. The visible result shows up first where skin is thin and mobile: jawline, neck, décolletage.

Non-surgical treatment works by provoking new collagen — micro-injury, then twelve weeks of repair. That is genuinely useful and genuinely gradual. It firms and thickens; it does not remove or reposition tissue.

1

A course of three or four, four weeks apart — repetition is what builds collagen.

2

Judge it at twelve weeks and at six months, from matched photographs.

3

Maintain once or twice a year, or the clock resumes as normal.

Clients who came in with the same thing

I came in convinced I needed a laser and left with a prescription cream and a sunscreen lecture. Six months later the patches on my cheeks are the faintest they have been in a decade. They could have sold me three of everything.

Nagwa showed me photographs of clients with my skin tone rather than the brochure ones, and she talked me out of the more expensive option. Two peels in, my makeup sits properly for the first time since my twenties.

The spots on my chest had bothered me for fifteen years. Three sessions, honest warnings about the flaking week, and they are gone. Booking the face and chest together was the right call.

Questions

The things people ask us

If yours is not here, ask it at the consult — or email it and Nagwa answers within a business day.

Will this replace a facelift?

No. Non-surgical tightening improves skin quality and gives a modest lift in the mirror; surgery repositions tissue. If what you want is the surgical result, four sessions of anything will disappoint you, and we will tell you that at the consult.

How long does it last?

The collagen you build is real and lasts, but the underlying loss continues. Most clients hold a course result for about a year and then maintain with one session.

Which treats the neck best?

PRP microneedling, in our hands. The neck is thin and unforgiving of aggressive settings, and it is the area where a slow, repeated approach clearly beats an aggressive single pass.

What does the free consultation actually include?

Twenty minutes with Nagwa: a proper look under clinic light and magnification, your history and any medications, same-light photographs for your file, and a written plan with prices and an order of operations. No deposit, and no obligation to book anything on the day.

Can I spread the cost?

Yes — courses can be split into monthly payments through Cherry, with plans starting around $45 a month depending on the total. We will show you the monthly figure next to the total before you decide anything.

We will tell you if it is past what we can do.

That happens, and saying it is part of the job. If it is treatable, you get a written course with photographs of clients your age — not the brochure ones.
