Fix this first

Scalp Health

Hair grows out of skin, and that skin gets treated like an afterthought. Flaking, itch and buildup are worth fixing on their own — and they make every other hair treatment work better.

Often mistaken for

Seborrheic dermatitis

Greasy yellowish scale with redness — treatable, but it needs an antifungal protocol rather than a clarifying wash.

Scalp psoriasis

Thick silvery plaques with a defined edge. Dermatology first, cosmetic care second.

Product buildup

Dry flakes that lift in sheets after a clarifying wash were never dandruff at all.

Invented for this design: our standard is to settle the scalp before starting any density programme — irritated skin makes PRP and microneedling more uncomfortable and less effective.

Why it happens

A barrier under attack from oil, yeast and product

Sebum feeds the malassezia yeast that lives on everyone’s scalp; in some people the immune response to it produces flaking and itch. Add silicone-heavy product, dry indoor air and infrequent washing, and the barrier stays inflamed.

The fix is rarely one bottle. Clear the buildup properly, address the yeast if it is part of the picture, then keep the barrier in a routine it can maintain — usually washing more often than people expect, not less.

1

A proper clarifying treatment to reset the surface.

2

Then a targeted at-home routine — often antifungal twice weekly.

3

Monthly maintenance if you are prone, or seasonally if not.

  • Rated 5 out of 5 stars

They ran bloodwork before selling me anything, which no other clinic did, and my ferritin turned out to be on the floor. PRP plus iron and my part is measurably narrower on their photographs, not just in my head.

    Clawson · hair density

  • Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I have been losing hair for nine years and I am hard to impress. This is the first place that mapped which areas were worth treating and told me plainly which were not, then referred me on for the rest.

    Rochester Hills · hair loss

  • Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Shedding started at three months and I panicked. They checked my iron, told me what was normal, took a photograph of my hairline and asked me to come back in three months. No package, no pressure, and it did recover.

Questions

The things people ask us

If yours is not here, ask it at the consult — or email it and Nagwa answers within a business day.

Is dandruff causing my hair loss?

Rarely directly, but chronic inflammation and scratching do not help, and a flaking scalp makes thinning look worse than it is. We settle the scalp first, then reassess density with photographs.

Should I wash my hair less?

Usually the opposite. Oil and buildup feed the problem, and most people with flaking or itch do better washing every day or two with the right shampoo than stretching it to once a week.

Can I do this alongside PRP?

Yes, and we prefer it. A calm scalp makes injections more comfortable and gives the growth factors a better environment. We usually run scalp care two weeks before starting a PRP course.

What does the free consultation actually include?

Twenty minutes with Nagwa: a proper look under clinic light and magnification, your history and any medications, same-light photographs for your file, and a written plan with prices and an order of operations. No deposit, and no obligation to book anything on the day.

Can I spread the cost?

Yes — courses can be split into monthly payments through Cherry, with plans starting around $45 a month depending on the total. We will show you the monthly figure next to the total before you decide anything.

Fix the soil before you judge the crop.

A free consult includes a proper look at the scalp under magnification — and if it is dermatological rather than cosmetic, a referral rather than a package.
